Description

Phi Nhung was born on April 10, 1970, in Pleiku, Vietnam, to an American father and a Vietnamese mother. Since childhood, Phi Nhung has had a fondness for listening to cai luong (a form of Vietnamese folk opera) and folk music, which is evident in her later songs.

In October 1989, Phi Nhung moved to the United States and settled in Tampa, Florida. At the end of 1993, upon the advice of Trizzie Phuong Trinh, she moved to live in Orange County, California, to pursue her singing dream.

Phi Nhung gained fame after performing the song "Song Que" with singer Thai Chau on the 15th episode of the Hollywood Night program.
