Description
Want to know how the music industry really works? Traxploitation gives you an insider’s view of the business — the deals, disputes, copyrights, loopholes and hidden stories most people never hear.
I’m Wayne Bennett — a Jamaican–British record producer and artist with nearly 30 years in the industry. I started as a Tape-Op at Motown UK in the early ’90s and worked my way up as an engineer, producer and songwriter, co-writing or producing over 500 recordings and engineering thousands more. I later worked inside one of the world’s largest organisations for recorded-music copyright, seeing first-hand who really gets paid.
Here you’ll find real cases, shady contracts, iconic songs and the business behind them — told by someone who’s lived both sides. If you’ve ever wondered how the business actually works, pull up a chair.
