Tran Thien Thanh (June 12, 1942 – May 13, 2005) was one of the most famous Vietnamese composers during the pre-1975 period. He was also a singer known by the stage name Nhat Truong and considered one of the four famous male voices in Vietnamese "nhạc vàng" (golden music). Tran Thien Thanh was born in Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan Province, and started his career as a teacher before joining the military. He composed music that often depicted themes of love and soldiers, characterized by a mix of brightness, romance, and longing. Tran Thien Thanh's contributions to music and his performances left a significant impact on Vietnamese music history.
