She sings semi-classical, film, folk, bhajans, bhavgeet and the ghazal, with equal ease and elan. Music, it is said, has no language and Jayanthi sings Hindi, Kannada, Urdu, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Sanskrit and English songs.
