Description
I collect vintage sports cards, which I interpret as 1960s and before, though I can also stretch that to the 70s and 80s if you twist my arm. 50s & 60s are classic cards, telling the story of the integration of professional baseball. I started collecting in 1957 with my first pack of Topps and was serious into baseball and football cards from 1958 through 1963. I'm still grateful that my Mom never threw out my cards and I've had them in my basement since 2019 when I decided to get them out and start looking at them again. My favorite MLB team is the Seattle Mariners, as I'm a native Washingtonian, and went to their first game ever in April 1977. Also fan of Seahawks, Sonics (not OK), and very casually the Kraken. What do I collect now?

*Mariners team sets & misc M's
*Negro league players & first black MLB players

Congrats to the winners. I really wish defensive stats were taken more into consideration by the voters. Also Mark Grace was a hit monster back in an ERA when homeruns dominated the game. Enjoyed.

I didn’t realize Thome had over 600 HRs. I like the analysis I wish I would’ve put more thought into my response initially. I was a Garvey fan but it’s clear his stats are no bueno.
