I love languages and cultures. Consecutive interpreting (Arabic–English–Persian) started as a hobby and became my profession over 20 years ago. I later earned my MA in Translation and Interpreting from Durham University in England.

For me language learning gives me a window into another culture, history, a different way of thinking, a different perspective on the world. There is nothing like watching a movie in its original language, or watching news from around the world. 5 languages max for me. Once you learn a language, you have to also maintain it, and there is only so much time.
