Hi Everyone! This YouTube channel is a collaboration between my son and me. I generally write songs and perform them (with some covers), and my son, Chris records and edits the music and creates the beautiful videos. We started a few years ago, and we have gradually improved both in terms of the music and the production quality. I am deeply troubled by the treatment of immigrants in the US. Almost all of us are the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of immigrants. I have spent most of my adult life overseas, and, although I have often had difficulties because of immigration laws, I have never been treated callously in the countries I have been in. So powerful!!! Even more so true!!! I never thought I’d see the day where this could happen…it seems it’s all going backwards…my Great Grandparents came from Alsace Lorraine in 1892 to save their children from war. They went through Ellis Island and all became citizens, like ALMOST everyone else’s ancestors! I prayed it would change before I was gone and it did…for the worse…Joe, this is a great song that captures it perfectly! Thank you for these mighty, poetic words!️
