Welcome to our channel! We're the Upshaws: Jacob, Sarah & Baby Gabriel. Oh, and Puppies Charlie & Tron.
We've been married for 7 years & started trying to get pregnant 4 years ago. After many negative pregnancy tests we transferred to a fertility specialist. After a barrage of tests, Jacob was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, which explained the side effect of what Jacob calls a "naturally occurring vasectomy". While Jacob has a very mild case of CF & is completely healthy, this meant we couldn't get pregnant the good ole fashioned way. Our only option for a biological child was In Vitro Fertilization (IVF.) After more shots, pills, patches, and blood draws you can shake a stick at, we underwent retrieval & transfer in May of 2016. After a successful transfer, our Miracle Baby, Gabriel, was born January 2, 2017.
We decided to do some roll reversal and Jacob is a stay-at-home-dad & Sarah works full time. Join us for a glimpse into our lives as we try to figure out how to be parents.
