Description

This channel was created by MUZAK aficionados
for education and research into our history,
when MUZAK became the soundtrack of our daily lives.

Whether at the department store,
medical center, factory, executive office,
apartment buildings, and even the city zoo,
in the background was the sound
of MUZAK's stimulus progression.

This channel features MUZAK recorded
fifty years ago on standard reel to reel tapes.

The tapes did not age well, you may hear occasional
tape hiss, squeaks, warbling and audio drop outs.

I salvaged every audible bit possible for archival purposes.

These MUZAK recordings were sourced
from telephone line installations and
radio broadcasts via SCA receivers.

They do contain, telephone line noise, hums, beeps,
signal tones, radio cross talk, clicks and fades.

In MUZAK CONDENSATION videos,
per MUZAK"s formula of 90% music saturation,
PSYCHOLOGICAL BREAKS follow sequences of
STIMULUS PROGRESSION.
