Thiollier has one of the best stories in Elden Ring. His character development is very well done. He is considered the weakest of all of Miquella's followers, he spends his life pursuing something he can never reach, he almost dies pursuing his goal, he suffers immensely, he even turns on the player, but then - when it matters most - he pulls himself together and stands with you and Ansbach at the very end. A true hero if ever one there was.

Thiollier is one of my favorite npcs, and his quest was very important for the story as it elevated the tragedy of Miquella’s character.
