Description

Based on Reunion Island, a small French island in thee Indian Ocean, BOukan is a musical collective that brings a new fresh sound: Funkreol aka "funk chaloupé" the unexpected flower obtained from pure funk seeds planted in the volcanic soil of a tropical island. Friends since 2000, WILL (instigator of local funk) and Juan ROZOFF (pioneer and legend of French funk) initiated the BOukan project following the 2019 tour they went on together in Reunion Island.

BOukan offers a recipe in which Creole spirit and local rhythms blend with the accurate and nasty grooves of funk. The gamble of language is also ambitious: mixing Creole, French and English with a sexy sense of humour . Beware, the side effects are clearly identified and are irremediable: a change of scenery and a furious desire to move.
