Navarro was originally founded in 1940 in Havana, Cuba by José Navarro. In the early 1960s Navarro established its first Florida store on 8th Street and 13th Avenue in the Little Havana sector in Miami, and has been serving the community ever since. Through the years Navarro became a trusted brand in the South Florida market and grew to become the largest Hispanic-owned drugstore chain in the United States.
