Description

Roxy Recordings was founded in November 2006 by Leif Käck in co-operation with MBO and Nordisk Film. Leif, a leading force within Swedish music industry for the last 20 years, had a background in international majors and wanted to create a lean independent working closer to the artists than regular labels but with the muscles of a major. By joining the MBO/Nordisk Film family and getting access to their power within sales, distribution and administration, this could be achieved with Roxy Recordings.

The first releases on Roxy Recordings were Orups album "Faktiskt" and Peter LeMarcs DVD "Live på Nalen", both released on the 15th of November 2006.

In the first year Roxy had started co-operation with a number of Sweden's finest artists, and made an instant impression on the Swedish music market with a number of chart topping gold and platinum albums.
