Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is an upcoming, unofficial fan-made project in the Mario & Luigi series. The title is a remake of the 2005 installment, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, developed by AlphaDream and released on the Nintendo DS. The game follows Mario & Luigi on a time-traveling quest to defeat the Shroobs, an invasive species of aliens attempting to conquer the younger Mushroom Kingdom. Joining forces with their toddler counterparts, the quartet of brothers embark on a journey to the past in hopes of restoring the Cobalt Star and rescuing Princess Peach after a time-traveling expedition gone to mayhem. Intended for release on PCs, this iteration of the beloved classic features updated graphics, a modernized soundtrack, and a separate side quest that expands upon the chronology of the main story.
