After a was run over by a car back in 2011 I bought a helmet camera and started recording my bike journeys.
I find watching and sharing videos about cycling instructive and useful.
I have been using GoPro Hero Sessions for the last few years with great results. Hero sessions are light and highly swappable. My back cam is a free camera I was given. In November 2022 I bought a Hero 11 Mini, not impressed with performance and it broke after only a month of use. I complained and got it replaced several times, until GoPro send me a GoPro 12 which I use on my helmet.
My very early videos have a mix of headcam, SJcam and ION Air Pro.
To upload to YouTube I'm using HD settings to encode, 1920 x 1080 pixels, Bit rate 24.19Mbps it creates files of about 180MB per minute. I almost always use MovieMaker to export I use the 'High-Definition Display'. Then YouTube will adjust the resolution according to bandwidth.
