Hello and welcome to my metal detecting channel. My name is Joe and I’ve been Metal detecting since 2013. I’ve lived on Long Island my whole life and never realized how much history we walk over everyday. Im truly blessed to have been born on Long Island where a big part of the Revolution War and George Washington’s spy ring took place. It’s a great feeling that’s hard to describe when I’m out detecting. Being able to go out searching, finding old coins or relics and at those specific spots start painting a picture in your head on what could have possibly happened here. Unearthing something 300+ years old after being buried for so long is one of the greatest feelings ever because it gives me the closest feeling of going back in time and seeing what it was like. In my opinion it’s the best hobby in the world. The equipment pays for itself over time, you get plenty of exercise and your preserving history.
