“That is strength, boy! That is power! The strength and power of flesh! What is steel, compared to the hand that wields it?“

I love the idea of fleshcrafting so much. The idea of modifying your own body on a genetic level is fascinating to me. Especially when it comes to combat, like giving yourself the eyes of a cat to see in the dark, the strength of a gorilla, and so on. It's a trope I absolutely adore.

My partner described the crowd of undead as "it looks like a female angel of death hiding the dead under her skirts like a mother"

The fleshcrafting isn't the problem, it's the eugenics

If I could build a body of my dreams, it would be my body with the flexibility of a cat.

The difference between Fleshcrafting (I feel Flesh Sculpting is more accurate, IMO) as horror and the same as liberation is whose intent is being reflected in the body. Basically, take this famous dialogue from God of War and apply it to the body instead of the soul.

It bugs me a little that fleshcrafting is usually portrayed as evil purely due to the costs and extremes it has to go to. Even in fantasy series where we have things like pyromancy, healing magic, literal shapeshifting into animals, etc. the act of permanently changing the form of a living creature is always portrayed as 'evil because you have to do so much to do it'.

I absolutely love fleshcrafting, gotta be one of the reasons Sarkicism is my favorite SCP tag.

Sebastian Stan’s A Different Man movie was a great one example of flesh crafting and under appreciated.

I don’t fuck with extreme body mods or plastic surgery for aesthetics but I do practice the art of minding my own fucking business and my body my choice so I honestly don’t see an issue with people doing whatever the hell they want if they can afford it.

there is one half who feels they should change, and one half who feels they can't change. This trope helps one half and hurts the other. It should be a duo trope.
