KBEV is a student-run media center at Beverly Hills High School, excelling in CTE for broadcasting and media production. Founded in 1969 with support from BHUSD, The Bosse Family, and the local community, KBEV offers hands-on training via a 24/7 cable TV station (Channel 6) and the KBEV6 YouTube channel—reaching over 100,000 local subscribers. Our rigorous curriculum propels students to top broadcasting schools (with a record seven admitted in one year to USC’s Annenberg School) and has earned first place in Broadcast News state gold medals, and national honors at the Skills USA National Leadership Conference. “The Norman News Service,” launched in 1970, is the world’s longest-running high school weekly news show.
