Description

I am a dumpster diver. Dumpster diving can mean different things to different people. To me it means that I go out looking for dumpsters that will have items that I can use, reuse, repurpose, resell or recycle. I am a retail diver which means I dumpster dive at retail stores. Those kind of stores throw out so much amazing stuff that if someone just took a few minutes of their time they would have brand new product for FREE!

I also dumpster dive for food. There are a LOT of dumpsters that have perfectly good, packaged food in them. When stores get shipments of new food items, anything that has a “Best By” or “Sell By” date approaching has to get thrown away. There are also some stores that throw out perfectly good fruits and vegetables and other foods simply because they received new product and the old product has to go in the trash even if there is nothing wrong with it.
