Bootleg Medicine Band

Description

Bootleg Medicine Band is made up of Kyle Young (vocals, guitar, banjo, production) and Jacob Scheiderer (vocals, guitar, bass) and began recording officially in late 2023. With over 20 years of combined experience playing music for fun and for friends, we decided to start the Bootleg Medicine Band project to create music to actually release to the world. After building a small studio, buying equipment, and learning several new instruments, we released our first track, The Drifter, in early 2024 and have been adding to the list since. We use a combination of influences to create music with an alternative, folk, rock, and bluegrass style. We enjoy writing story driven songs with a cinematic feel that intertwine and unravel from each other, exploring themes such as hope in the face of failure, self discovery, addiction, and plenty of humor.
