Description

Fisher bridge is an old railroad covered bridge in Wolcott Vermont next to route 15 about 3.8 miles from where I live in Hardwick Vermont it was built in 1908 for the ST Jay & LC railroad that went from St Johnsbury Vermont to Swanton Vermont Fisher bridge was listed on the National register of historic places in 1974 it is 103 feet long and 20 feet tall unfortunately in the 1990s a flood washed out the tracks and where abandoned because the lamoille valley railroad couldn’t afford to repair the flood damage so the tracks were torn up in the early 2000s trains no longer go through fisher bridge so I decided to name my YouTube channel fisher bridge productions as a tribute to a historic land mark on the Former ST Jay & LC railroad and the LVRC railroad Banner photo credit to Richard Merriam
