Description

Zenarchy is an idea, a way of perceiving the world. It also refers to the music that embodies this idea, made by a pair of artists based in Atlanta. Gu is 9, a bilingual rapper hailing from South Korea, was already making waves in the Atlanta hip hop scene when the Japanese beat maker/rapper Atsu first moved to the city. When the two started making music together in 2017, the idea of Zenarchy organically began to take shape. Their music is highlighted by seamless exchanges of rhymes in 3 languages, layered on top of jazz-inspired samples.

Zenarchy’s music is an meditative experience that reminds the listener that we are meant to be guided by no order but zen itself.
