20-year-old singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Lucas Miles burst onto the scene, with soulful vocals and clever lyrics, back in 2020 with his indie band ‘The Modern Society’. With their debut single ‘Bad Thoughts’ showcasing Lucas’s keen interest for mental health and wellbeing. This is now evident in Lucas’s latest solo project, ‘The Breathers’. Born following a life changing epiphany, the project has been described as a collective of musicians from around the world making chilled music in stressful times. Lucas says, “The Breathers embodies the importance of looking after our mental health and giving ourselves chance to 'breathe', something a lot of people had the unique chance to do in lockdown”. The Breathers embraces music as a form of escapism, a beacon of calm in otherwise difficult times. ‘It Is What It Is’ is the first single off the debut EP set to be released in summer 2021. With more music being released under his own name later in the year.
