Description
At Forgotten Weapons I think the most interesting guns out there are the most obscure ones. I try to search out experimental and prototype weapons and show you how they work, in addition to more conventional guns that you may not have heard of before. You're much more likely to find a video on the Cei Rigotti or Webley-Fosbery here than an AR or Glock. So, do you want to learn about something new today? Then stick around!

The core plot point of one of Kurosawa's earliest films - Stray Dog, starring Toshiro Mifune - is all the bad things that can happen if a cop loses his gun.

Nambu pioneered the “kept the name but under new management” business model that Colt has since perfected.

"A Nuclear looking logo was not culturally sensitive for Japan" maybe the understatement of the century

As a Japanese gun nerd, I've been waiting for a long time for this moment.

Sounds like it’s time for. BUG match with a 360J complete with attached lanyard.

A 5 shot .38 special revolver is not a 18 shot 9 mm, but you pull the trigger a reasonably effects bullet comes out. Given that the Japanese police well trained and very rarely deal with people armed with firearms, these guns are probably enough.

Mateba still is what I think when associating japan and revolvers

love the drip of that 360J grip with the lanyard loop

a tidbit from a Japanese perspective.

Now I’m seriously waiting for Ian to review the Howa Type-89, my former service rifle. I’d love to hear how Ian interprets its features…such as the hastily added left side selector lever and its firing mode order.
