Since 2010, the San Francisco Bay Area punk scene has been enriched with the energetic and hard-grooving melodies from the hispanic punk rock trio, The Mengz. The growls and energetic chants from the vocals can be easy to sing along with even for audience members that have never heard the band's music before. The band illuminates with complex guitar solos, melodic bass lines, and passionate drum beats. Singer/song writer/guitarist- Isaiah "Icekat Meng" Sanchez leads the band with an amorous and charismatic swagger which properly represents the overall carefree attitude of the band. Bassist -Enrique "Rick Meng" Amarillas gives the band rhythmic stability during the intense tempos and syncopated breaks in the music. Drummer - Russell "Russ Meng" Akin pushes the band forward with consistently energetic drum beats while implicating steady tempos and technical drum fills.
