Pink Floyd, one of the most successful and influential groups ever, formed in the 1960`s when Roger "Syd" Barrett linked up with Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. Syd came up with the name by combining the names of the Bluesmen, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
