This channel is simply an archive of Shane's old content. These videos were posted for historical purposes and are not uploaded to glorify or excuse the jokes or behaviors that appear in them.

I grew up watching these videos when they were being posted during a difficult time in my life - while they gave me comfort which i will always appreciate, i recognize that many of the jokes and recurring themes, involving race, humor centered around (then) minors aren't okay.

There are no known victims of Shane. But the behaviors that he normalized (racism, weird dynamics between adults and minors, rape jokes) have impacted people that watched his videos and has probably made many, not question the racism they've faced from a friend, not question the strange behavior they've experienced/heard from an older adult.

I'm always open to hearing and responding to all perspectives whether it's positive opinions about Shane or critical! I'm not Shane - just a fan.
