Dakota is a junior competitive pistol shooter with a foundation rooted in a family of military and law enforcement. He has been around firearms from a young age, beginning safety training at just four years old.
His competitive shooting journey began on May 2025, when he and his mom visited a Junior Program at the Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club in Jackson, NJ. Just a month later, Dakota competed in his first Bullseye 2700 match using a club 1911 with a Nelson .22 conversion. After an impressive performance, he was invited to the Tri-State NRA Regional Championship the following weekend, where he earned Top Junior with a 2443-42X.
That same day, he was invited to join the NJ contingent traveling to the CMP National Matches at Camp Perry in July. There, he delivered an outstanding performance, winning the Junior .22 Championship with a score of 2481-56X and helping lead the NJ Gold Junior Team to victory.
