Marco Schirripa

Description

Marco Schirripa currently serves as Assistant Professor of Percussion at Central Michigan University. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Percussion Performance and Music Theory from Ithaca College, as well as master's and doctoral degrees in Percussion from Indiana University, where he was awarded the prestigious Performer's Certificate from the Jacobs School of Music during his first year of study.

Dr. Schirripa has performed at the World Marimba Competition, vgmtogether, Zeltsman Marimba Festival, and two Percussive Arts Society International Conventions. He has seen constant success in competitions, taking first place in both the Great Plains International Marimba Competition and the Southern California International Marimba Competition.
