Description

Satsuki is Tohno Shiki's classmate and friend, and likes him very much. She plays somewhat different roles in the game and the anime. In the game, she is shy and has somewhat of an inferiority complex. She has a crush on Shiki, although he is completely oblivious of this and regards her as just another classmate. She is later attacked by Roa while walking at night and infected with vampirism. In several of Tsukihime's routes, Shiki is forced to kill her. In the anime, she is portrayed as somewhat more outgoing and a mutual friend of both Shiki and Inui Arihiko, and confesses to Shiki near the end of the series. It is news of Yumizuka's supposed death during Nero Chaos's raid on the hotel that finally prompts Shiki to action against the vampire. TYPE-MOON had originally planned for her to be a heroine in the story, as explained in the Tsukihime PLUS-DISC story Geccha and alluded to several times in Kagetsu Tohya.
In Melty Blood ReAct, she appears in the arcade mode, and is a playable character. The scenario suggests that she did indeed become a vampire, but Shiki did not kill her. Nasu mentionned in a doujin anthology about Ciel (月の彼方、永遠の眼鏡 TYPE-MOON作品集) that Melty Blood was written using the events after the "Satsuki Normal End", whereas the manga version of Melty Blood suggests that Shiki did indeed kill her. She seems to have become good friends with fellow tragic vampire Sion.

In Melty Blood X, she's found alive living with Sion and Leez in the back alleys, living aimlessly after the events of Tatari.
