Description
San Diego Santa Fe Depot opened in 1915 and is the primary passenger rail station in San Diego. There are six tracks through the platforms. Two for the MTS Trolley light rail. The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and the COASTER commuter rail use the other four tracks. Freight trains will pass through the station on track #4. Freight trains generally pass through at night. Usually there are two Northbound freight trains between 7 and 9 PM. Southbound freight trains usually pass after midnight.
The camera is located on the west side of the tracks and is pointing north. The viewing area is tight and provides privacy to the adjacent high rise condominiums. There is no sound.
