Description

A role-playing game is a simulation of events, fictional or real, occurring in a certain world at a certain time. Its participants play characters, guided by the nature of their role and the character’s inner beliefs within the framework of game realities. The individual and collective actions of the players write the plot of the game. There are many roleplaying game formats: LARP, Tabletop Roleplaying Game, Reconstruction, Verbal or Text. Traditionally, there are rules for conducting a role-playing game, which describe the framework of the players’ actions, their behavior, how to simulate game situations, how the game mechanics work. The rules are both in the direction of greater realism, complex and simpler, arcade-like, conventional. The actions of the players represent free improvisation within the framework of the chosen rules and game setting, and also determine the process of the game and its result.
