I believe that you are being lied to. You've been told that being a Christian is easy. You've been told that the chief aim and requirement of Christianity is to "be good." That's not what Jesus was about. He was real and most who followed him died early, violent deaths. They didn't do that because they wanted to be the same, but nicer. Following Jesus requires death to self (Matthew 16:25) and may require far more than that. Following Jesus could kill you, but don't let anyone tell you it's not worth it. It is.
