Description

The Center for Sport, Peace and Society aims to promote cultural understanding between UT students and diverse communities through sport-based service and works with community leaders to develop context-specific programming focused on global solidarity and inclusion of underserved populations (e.g. women and girls, refugees/internally displaced, persons with disabilities).

We currently partner with the U.S. Department of State and espnW to execute programs for the Empowering Women and Girls Through Sport Initiative, a groundbreaking initiative introduced by the DOS in 2012.
