S M Borthwick is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Scotland. His music covers a number of different styles and genres because, as he says, 'the one great advantage of being an independent artist is having the freedom to explore what interests you without the weight of expectation'. As well as releasing music under his own name, he also has an alternative music project, The Infamous Empanadas.
