Hailing from Milwaukee, DC THE DON is a one-of-one creative who refuses to fit inside a genre. Before music, there was basketball. His breakout track “Everything 1k,” made for a Big Baller Brand ad, sparked his shift to music. A restrictive contract stalled official releases for two years, so DC built momentum with “DC Fridays,” a weekly SoundCloud series that earned cult status.
In 2020, he signed with Rostrum Records and released Come As You Are, introducing a more honest, emotional direction. He followed with My Own Worst Enemy (2022), a dual-character concept album exploring rage and depression, then SACRED HEART, a raw collection of unfiltered songs.
By 2023, DC earned a spot on XXL’s Freshman list and released FUNERAL, a genre-blending reinvention. In 2024, he dropped the 2012 EP and debut LP REBIRTH. After going independent, “GET NAKED” exploded globally. Now, DC enters his next era with “LIE TO ME,” from the rumors are true, via Republic Records.
