Hello, I'm Heather the host of the Sunshine & PowerCuts Podcast.

The podcast features two types of episodes:
Sunshine ones are light, bright and motivational - wellbeing empowered by nature.
PowerCut ones are where I share honest insights into my journey of living life off-the-power-grid in rural New Zealand.

It all started back in 2009, when the decision was made to build an alternative off-grid power system for our brand new home.
And like the off-grid journey, this creative project has been developing since then.
