Biography
Francesco Arena (1966) is an Italian visual artist, photographer, and curator. He lives and works in Genoa. Active since the 1980s, he uses photography as his primary medium, alongside performance, video, and site-specific installations. His research explores the nature of the image and the processes through which vision is constructed, moving between body, representation, and identity, in a constant dialogue between verisimilitude and presence.
