The funniest part of the Demi-Fiend fight is the music. The Demi-fiend is the main character from SMT 3 Nocturne and the music that plays during the superboss fight is the random battle music from Nocturne. So for the Demi-fiend your dumb-ass is a regular encounter

8:18 Actually you can survive without the Shadow mantle (which I did) and there's even a special dialogue during the fight if you manage to no-hit the Knight (which I didn't)

Are we really not gonna talk about Galdera the Fallen from Octopath Traveler? Took me 20 hours of grinding, looking up a good build, setting up all 8 party members, a boss rush, and THEN a fight that will last you between 1 to 2 hours of a grueling challenge

When I saw you put DDS demi fiend on the list, was SOOOO sure I would find yet another sweet summer child who never tried Satan in DDS2. Well played sir. 100 percent the hardest boss I've ever beat. For anyone who's never done it, one thing this guy doesn't mention is that the first move Satan casts is Futility, which basically makes any skill that auto nulls/ reflects/ absorbs anything completely worthless. Hardest thing about the fight though, is that the absolute banger that is Hunting: Betrayal is playing the whole time, ruining your attempts to concentrate on all the bullcrap. Would love to see DDS saga remastered. Love their whole vibe.

Honorable mention to the “friends” boss fight from OMORI. Restricts you to 2 party members, insta kills 1 of them on turn 3, requires that you focus one specific enemy out of 3. Technically there is a harder fight in this game but it’s not intended to be beaten.

Also the 5 judges know how to HARD COUNTER the reverse status effect and thrash your party almost instantly.
