Founded as part of the Moms Read Comics empire, The Hangout is a show for folks who love comics. The hosts have a variety of tastes and backgrounds, from old-school Marvel, to modern age DC, to someone who started reading with the New 52. The discussion is always civil, even when the topics get tough. The Hangout has a reputation for fairness and fun that has lead the biggest names in comics today to join the conversation - writers, artists, colorists, letterers, editors, DC, Marvel, independent, up-and-coming and well-established.

The Hangout aired its first episode in February, 2013, and has continued to promote inclusive, positive spaces for frank comics discussion while simultaneously refusing to be ashamed of fangirling.
