selfVERSUSself [sVƨ] is a competition that aims to improve a video editors' skill. Unlike most tournaments, sVƨ focuses on each individual editor's capabilities and encourages them to improve from their entrant video. The editor who has improved the most by the end of the tournament is the winner.

An editor's participation in sVƨ is judged only against him/herself. Every editor in sVƨ must enter a base-video, which will be used to judge them against the Round One video. If the editor passes Round One, their Round One video becomes the new base video, which will be used to compare to their Round Two video and so on...

sVƨ is an open-ended tournament. Any footage, any video editing program, and any style. Do not feel discouraged if you see talented editors join this tournament; they, like yourself, are fighting against their own capabilities.
