Reaching over 1.2 million YouTube views for the series finale, Octavia produced Uneducated as a live-action pilot after deciding to expand on the story, recreating it as a New York City-based series. The project crowdfunded 77% of its goal on Indiegogo and screened to a sold-out auditorium at Brooklyn Public Library in 2019. Since then, Octavia has worked on indie films while building a portfolio of pilots, including a revision of Uneducated and the fantasy Grains of Time. Grains of Time currently sits on the Coverfly Red List. In August 2021 it ranked #20 half-hour Fantasy of All Time, #19 half-hour Fantasy for this year, and #4 for the month. It has also reached the Quarterfinals for ScreenCraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Screenwriting Competition 2021 and Script2Comic Contest 2021. Octavia tells stories ranging from Brooklyn-based dramedies to animated sci-fi/fantasy with leading BIPOC characters.
