Project Renaissance is a community driven passion project aiming to recreate and revive the original E3 2018 vision of Dying Light 2.
This project is not a simple map edit. It is built as a full scale DLC level experience, inspired by early concepts, gameplay reveals, and the dark narrative tone originally showcased.
What is Project Renaissance?
Project Renaissance is our attempt to bring back the soul of E3 2018, with a strong focus on:
• The Elyseum Map – Recreated with ambition, detail, and atmosphere
• New Characters & Factions – Inspired by early narrative ideas
• New Weapons – Featuring unique visuals, mechanics, and animations
• New Parkour & Combat Animations – Closer to the original E3 movement style
• Custom Music & Sound Design – Darker, immersive, and story-driven
• Expanded World Design – Environmental storytelling, verticality, & your choices having major consequences
