2011-12 hockey season starts October 7th for some teams. Capitals have their home opener on October 8th against the Carolina Hurricanes (of course I'll be there! season ticket holders go to all the games!)
I'm hoping the Caps can have their moment this year

I'm a big hockey nut who just got smacked head first onto the boards, and proud of it. I love the Washington Capitals and Alex Ovechkin! I do believe they can win their very first Stanley Cup. It WILL happen, someday! I'll always be a proud Caps fan
