Hello there! I'm Chrysanthe Tan (Xanthe), a composer/violinist who loves Star Wars more than anything in the world. I started this channel to celebrate, educate, and host open-minded discussions about the music and sound of Star Wars.
Many Star Wars fans think that they're not "qualified" to talk about the music, but that is simply not true. Regardless of training, everyone has a personal relationship with music that no amount of formal music theory can override, and I want to help all fans feel more equipped to talk about their musical perspectives. Everyone is welcome here -- musician or not -- and no question is too rudimentary or far-reaching.
On the podcast, we're currently going through the music of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK 5 cinematic minutes at a time.
On this channel, my friends James, Justin, and Christina (AKA The Band Batch) also join me for livestreams whenever new Star Wars shows come out.
