Recently posted the same Jack Johnson Hassan card to my little blog and had several more vintage boxing cards saved for future posts. So this is timely! Even though I was never a big boxing fan I have always been drawn to the vintage boxing cards. Something very cool about them and integral to the history of sport in America.

Prewar boxing is so cool. You have so many great cards! I really like the Potin Dempsey. We both dabble in a little bit of everything, and I love seeing more and more people starting to branch out into the minor sports and non-sports worlds! Thanks for putting out content that inspires others to try something new!

That’s crazy O Sullivan was boxing bare handed. I’d love to own a few Irish boxes to honor my great grandfather who was an Irishman who loved boxing. Love that T218 champions set and Johnson. Beautiful Felix Potin. Awesome stuff brother!

I’m about to watch this Orlando,, 3am here. I was thinking only yesterday “ I wonder if Orlando will do a show and tell on Boxing “ and here it is. !!! There was a famous World Heavyweight title fight between Jack Johnson and Tommy Burns at Rushcutters Bay in Sydney in 1908 where Johnson became the 1st “black” World Champion!!!!
