An independent humanitarian organisation dedicated to protecting human life and dignity, relieving human suffering and responding to emergencies. Red Cross work in Singapore began in 30 September 1949 as part of the British Red Cross Society. The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) was incorporated by an Act of Parliament on 6 April 1973.
