Description

Life can be hard sometimes but we do what we can with what we have to make life sweeter. The good, bad and ugly can teach us a lot about gardening, cooking, canning, and living the best life we can despite the struggles.

I am a wife, homeschooling mom of 3 boys, and an Army Iraqi combat veteran, living in the Piedmont region of NC in gardening zone of 7b. We currently live within the city limits so we are urban homesteading currently until we can find more land.

Getting my hands in the soil is very therapeutic to me with my anxiety issues but it is physically difficult so I am learning to make adjustments to make it possible. I have felt called back to the land because of our broken food system and I want my boys to learn how to grow their own food.
