Ol’ Ruggad was born in Flint, Michigan, raised in Grand Rapids and North Chicago. Ol’ Ruggad started his ministry in 1995 in Grand Rapids Michigan and continues to minister throughout the United States today. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Christian studies from Grace Theological Seminary. In addition to his Christian Studies, he acquired a bachelor's in General Education, Special Education and a Professional degree in Educational Leadership. With over 20 years in the rap game, he brings together passion and heartfelt rhymes that reflects the necessity of the cross. His rugged flow was sculpted during the golden era of Hip-hop and regenerated after his conversion to Christ. Ol’ Ruggad’s music can be described as grimy with a touch of raspy story telling melodies. His lyrical content exemplifies Biblical principles mixed with an underground feel. Through artistic wordplay and metaphoric lyricism, Ol’ Ruggad reels his audience into a dimension of hope musically.
