Description

In 2017, kaile (vocals) and james (guitar) met at a jam session in a dorm lounge while attending university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The duo began working on projects that ended with their first singles of HUNYT (2020) and Pink Lady (2021), recorded, mixed and mastered in james's college bedroom and basement. Invited to play a battle of the bands charity event in 2022, Mars Counsel enlisted mason (bass) and ian (drums) for the occasion. Hailing from various musical backgrounds, the group united through the veins of the Philadelphia house shows. The group went along to record their first EP, Wake to Waves (2023) independently followed by 2024 singles Things that Aren't There and Couldn't / Didn't Want to.
